This is my first blog post ever! I have always thought about starting a blog but I didn't think my life was that interesting. I am married with no children so I don't have much to blog about except I guess how bad the Saints are doing or how terrible LSU looks BUT then I found a new love/hobby/obsession.... and it benefits my husband because I am updating furniture with paint... NOT buying new furniture... so I am saving money plus enjoying this new hobby... It's a win win in the Venturi household!!!
Now to the point of this blog.... When we first moved to Louisiana, we had NO furniture. Thankfully, we came across this dresser and a matching hutch that was given to us for FREE! I was never fond of cherry wood finishes as well as bright gold hardware but since it was free, I couldn't be too picky. Then one day I came across Annie Sloan Chalk Paint that has changed my life! I have already painted three pieces of furniture for myself as well as a table for my sister! I love to share the awesome outcome of my projects with my friends so this is why I am here tonight posting my latest creation for my room! I am Ecstatic how it turned out.. the only questionable thing is the hardware. I am not sold on it. I am trying to decide whether I should put the old hardware back on the dresser and paint over it or exchange them for different ones...maybe yall can help me... (if I get followers)
I can already tell that the more I use this paint the better my projects turn out. I am hoping to take a class soon and get even better with different techniques I am researching.
